Small Smudging Starter Pack

Regular price $15 Unit price  per

This starter pack is great for people who want to protect their energy! This Smudging Starter Pack includes 1 White Sage (3-4 in) and 2 Palo Santos sticks (4 in). The term “smudging” refers to almost any type of spiritual or energetic cleansing that uses the smoke.

Description:

- California White Sage is one of the most sacred herbs among indigenous North American people. They use it in ceremonies for blessings and prosperity. For generations, white sage has been used for purifying, cleansing, protection, and blessings.

-Palo Santo has an uplifting and positive effect. Palo Santos is used for cleansing your energy field, which enhances your ability to deflect and repel negative energies as well as raising your positive vibrations. It's also known for it’s grounding and focusing effect which can enhance creativity, productivity and increase good fortune.

-Both are great to burn before meditating or just to bring a bit of peace into your day.

How to use:

STEP 1: Collect your tools and open a window.

Gather your Smudging Starter Pack, a lighter, and something to catch the ashes with like an ashtray. Open a window to keep the smoke moving (and prevent the smoke alarm going off). Opening a window for smudging also helps the negativity to literally, go out the window.

STEP 2: Hold it the Right Way!

Tilt the smudge at a 45-degree angle.

STEP 3: Light your smudge.

Light one end of the sage first and rotate it in a circular motion around the flame so it’s fully lit.

STEP 4: Summon the sacred smoke.

Gently blow on the smudge after every rotation around the flame until the smokiness is to your liking.

TIP: Try not to create too much smoke, as it could oversaturate your space and even set off fire alarms despite having the window open.

STEP 5: Smudge!!

Wave the smoke around all corners, doorways, sacred objects and any other areas of your space that you feel need energy cleansing. Then, once your space has had time to air out, close the window to seal in the good vibes.

(Sidenote: I personally like to repeat steps 3-5 with a Palo Santos stick because I like the way the combination makes my space feel. However, you can play around with it and find the way smudging works best for you.)
